The offering comprised 6,215,000 existing shares sold by Stymie Invest AB at SEK 70 each for proceeds of approximately SEK 435 million according to the transaction announcement from ABG Sundal Collier which served as sole global coordinator and bookrunner. An over-allotment option covering up to 932,250 additional shares could lift the total offering size to SEK 500 million if exercised in full. The transaction attracted strong demand from both institutional investors and the Swedish public resulting in several times oversubscription ABG Sundal Collier reported.
Cornerstone investors Carnegie Fonder Cicero Fonder and the Hielte family committed to acquire 1,500,000 shares for a combined SEK 105 million representing roughly 24 percent of the base offering according to the same announcement. The listing has introduced approximately 5,000 new shareholders to the company which maintains majority ownership through Stymie Invest following the share sale. No new shares were issued in the transaction so Dormy itself received no capital proceeds the company stated in its listing materials.
For the 12 months ended June 30 2026 Dormy recorded net sales of SEK 1,097 million and adjusted EBIT of SEK 140 million corresponding to an adjusted margin of 13 percent with a compound annual growth rate of approximately 12 percent since 2023 according to figures the company disclosed ahead of the IPO. Founded in 1994 the retailer has expanded organically without prior external funding and now commands about 49 percent of the Swedish golf equipment market. It operates 12 physical stores across Sweden together with an e-commerce platform that serves customers in 13 European countries.
“Today is an important milestone in Dormy’s more than 30-year history” Dormy chief executive Anders Wall said in a statement released on the first trading day. “The interest in Dormy and the offering has been great and I am very pleased to welcome 5,000 new shareholders.” Wall added that the listing creates a broader ownership base and sets good conditions to develop the customer offering while expanding in current markets and elsewhere in Europe.
International law firm Baker McKenzie acted as legal advisor in connection with the IPO of Dormy as detailed in the firm’s own announcement on the matter. Swedish firm Lindahl served as legal adviser to Dormy Corporation itself on the Nasdaq First North Premier Growth Market listing according to Lindahl’s transaction summary. The advisory roles supported the admission of Dormy’s 15 million shares to trading under the ticker DORMY with the process also involving certified adviser FNCA Sweden AB.
Dormy shares opened above the offer price and traded around SEK 75 in initial dealings representing a roughly 7 percent gain on the first day according to coverage from Golfbranschen. Company founders Lars Johansson and Mats Hedlund joined Wall in ringing the Nasdaq Stockholm opening bell during an event attended by about 50 employees family members and associates. The IPO forms part of a generational transition for the business while the founders retain control through their holding company Stymie Invest the company has indicated in its disclosures.
The listing broadens Dormy’s shareholder base at a time when the firm continues to focus on both retail stores and digital sales channels across Europe according to statements from company management. Officials have also introduced a shareholder program that offers benefits including product discounts to investors holding at least 200 shares the company noted in its pre-listing communications. Dormy has emphasised its position as one of Europe’s larger golf equipment retailers in materials prepared for the IPO process.
