Bluegem Capital Partners announced on July 30 2026 that it agreed to sell a majority stake in The Béaba Suavinex Group to Portobello Capital through the Spanish firm’s second investment from Fund V. Bluegem will retain a significant minority stake and continue partnering with Portobello and the management team on the next growth phase. The Béaba Suavinex Group is projected to generate €130 million in revenues and €20 million of EBITDA this year according to the Bluegem announcement. The transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.

Bluegem Capital Partners built the platform through its 2020 acquisition of Béaba and 2022 purchase of Suavinex the firm stated in its release. The resulting group has expanded fourfold under that ownership combining the French brand known for baby feeding solutions with the Spanish leader in infant care products. This approach established one of Europe’s prominent premium baby care businesses through organic growth operational improvements and targeted add-on deals.

The companies outlined plans to accelerate international expansion of the Suavinex brand by drawing on Béaba’s established global presence. Priorities also include strengthening the online sales channel broadening the portfolio into related baby care segments and evaluating selective merger and acquisition opportunities. Portobello Capital’s involvement is expected to support those initiatives alongside Bluegem’s continued participation.

Baker McKenzie advised Bluegem Capital Partners on the sale the law firm stated in its own newsroom release. Uría Menéndez represented Portobello Capital on the buy side according to Iberian Lawyer. Harris Williams acted as financial adviser to The Béaba Suavinex Group multiple deal reports confirmed.

Bluegem Capital Partners focuses on pan-European mid-market private equity investments in essential real economy businesses. Portobello Capital ranks among Spain’s foremost private equity houses with a track record in supporting domestic and regional growth stories. The partial exit marks the second successful realisation from Bluegem’s third fund which has reached approximately 0.8 times distributed to paid-in capital from this transaction according to a partner at the firm.
