The National Centre of Meteorology has forecast fair to partly cloudy skies across the UAE with temperatures climbing into the mid-40s in many parts of the country. Coastal and island regions are expected to reach between 39 and 44 degrees Celsius while internal areas could see 43 to 47 degrees the authority’s bulletin indicated. Abu Dhabi Dubai Sharjah Ajman and Umm Al Quwain are each predicted to hit a high of 43 degrees Celsius according to NCM data published by Emirates 24|7 with Ras Al Khaimah forecast at 45 degrees.

Rising humidity overnight into Friday morning is likely to lead to mist or fog formation in coastal areas including Dubai and Abu Dhabi an NCM assessment found. Motorists should remain alert to reduced visibility during early hours the weather centre advised in its update. Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre records show Abu Dhabi International Airport logged 24 fog days in 2021 while a Journal of Applied Meteorology and Climatology study placed the long-term average at just under 24 fog days per year at that station.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi are both set for a maximum of 43 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 32 degrees the National Centre of Meteorology reported through Emirates 24|7. Al Ain shares the 43-degree high while Liwa stands as the hottest location at 47 degrees according to the same forecast details. Fujairah is expected to peak at 37 degrees Celsius remaining the coolest among major locations tracked by the authority.

Winds are anticipated to blow light to moderate initially from the southeast before shifting northwesterly at 10 to 25 kilometres per hour with gusts reaching 35 kilometres per hour NCM figures show. Conditions at sea will stay calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman supporting the overnight humidity increase that contributes to fog risk. The forecast follows a Wednesday high of 46.9 degrees Celsius recorded in Bada Dafas in the Al Dhafrah region as detailed in a Khaleej Times report from the prior day.

The National Centre of Meteorology continues to issue regular updates on these transitional September conditions marked by sustained heat and periodic visibility warnings. Comparable forecasts earlier in the week similarly highlighted humidity spikes after dark across coastal zones the authority’s ongoing observations indicated. Such patterns form part of broader climate tracking by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre which monitors fog and temperature indicators at stations nationwide.
