The ministry released the results on Sunday while opening the latest intake for a program that had accepted registrations only from students who passed ninth grade examinations. Kuwait Times reported that the development forms the first group to enter the reformed secondary structure during the 2026-2027 academic year.
Admission notifications reached students and parents on Sunday via the Masar pathways platform on the ministry website and through the Sahel government application, Kuwait Times stated. Each alert contained details on the assigned school along with specific instructions that families must follow ahead of the start date. The ministry emphasized the need for immediate review of these materials to confirm logistics and prepare for attendance.
Twelve schools will host the pathways program with two facilities in each of Kuwait’s six educational districts, one for boys and one for girls, a Kuwait Times report indicated. This even spread allows placement of admitted students according to their residential zones and supports accessibility across the country. The arrangement limits initial rollout to these selected sites while the traditional secondary curriculum continues elsewhere unchanged.
Minister of Education Jalal Al-Tabtabaei approved the tracks system on September 3 for experimental use this year, according to an earlier Kuwait Times article. The structure covers three academic years divided into six semesters and requires 54 credit units for completion. Grade 10 operates as a shared foundation period that includes general subjects plus exploration courses to guide future track choices.
The ministry listed eight available tracks ranging from languages, law and social sciences to business, mathematics, sciences, industrial technology and artificial intelligence, Kuwait Times noted from the official decision. Placement weighs multiple factors including academic records, aptitude assessments, interest inventories and exploration performance rather than grades alone.
