Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, described the platform as a new global achievement that reinforces the country’s leadership in government and judicial excellence, Gulf News reported. The announcement detailed a strategic evolution from conventional digital services to artificial intelligence-enabled justice that targets faster litigation cycles along with more effective legal analysis. Final rulings will continue to rest exclusively with human judges to safeguard the system’s integrity and independence.

The platform integrates artificial intelligence throughout key judicial functions according to the official announcement carried by Gulf News. Capabilities encompass automated examination of case files and supporting documents in addition to immediate retrieval of applicable legislation and regulatory texts. It further enables swift comparison of relevant judicial precedents with the generation of analytical reports and recommendations that assist but do not supplant judicial reasoning.

Officials have repeatedly stressed that the technology will operate strictly as an advanced legal assistant rather than a substitute for human decision-makers, the report added. This framework preserves established principles of judicial independence while delivering measurable gains in operational efficiency across court operations. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan said the initiative represented “a new global achievement” that reinforces the UAE’s leadership in government and judicial excellence.

The development forms a core element of the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031 which the Ministry of Justice has outlined as a comprehensive effort to establish the country as a global hub for the technology. The strategy emphasises investment in specialised talent, the creation of a vibrant AI ecosystem and the application of these tools across priority sectors to elevate government performance and citizen services. Integration within the judiciary underscores the practical extension of those national objectives into legal and regulatory domains.

Implementation will begin in September through the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department in partnership with the Department of Government Enablement, with phased rollout continuing over the subsequent 18 months, subsequent coverage indicated. One accompanying assessment estimated the project’s overall budget at $150 million. The timetable builds upon earlier judicial digitalisation programmes that have already expanded electronic filing and case tracking capabilities throughout the emirate.

Recent government initiatives under the refreshed strategy have included the appointment of a dedicated Minister of Artificial Intelligence together with substantial commitments to AI infrastructure such as data centres, according to summaries of national progress. These steps have helped attract more than 250 AI-oriented startups to the UAE ecosystem and reinforced its position at the forefront of technology adoption in the region. The new judicial platform stands as the latest tangible outcome of that sustained policy focus applied to a foundational public institution.
