The Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme seeks to eliminate redundant government procedures and significantly simplify administrative processes across federal entities. In its first phase the programme removed over 4,000 redundant processes, reduced service delivery times by more than 70 percent and saved millions of work hours, the official UAE government portal reported. The Emirates ID policy update builds directly on that foundation while responding to citizen feedback on bureaucratic friction.
